Our Team

  • Spencer Dodd

Managing Director / Executive Producer, UK & Europe

Almost certainly the calmest man in advertising, you’ll have a tough job finding anyone as trusted or as liked as our Surrey man Spence. He joined us in 2011 and wasted no time making sure Sweetshop was among the UK’s best production companies. Televisual Magazine has ranked Sweetshop in its top 20 for the last three years, while UK industry site David Reviews consistently ranks the company among its top five. Spencer cut the teeth of his 20-year career working for two of London’s heavyweight legendary creatives, Dave Trott and Geoffrey Seymour. He’s a man who made the cake from scratch and after moving into feature production he progressed from Runner to Production Assistant and Assistant Director on UK blockbusters including 'Bridget Jones’ Diary', 'Dirty Pretty Things', 'Vera Drake' and 'East is East'. He's produced some of the UK’s biggest TV commercials, for brands including, Barclays, Hovis, HSBC, MasterCard, Lexus, Sky, Heinz, McDonald’s and Shell. Dedicated dad to two daughters, he’s quietly spoken, but don’t ever let that fool you about this effective operator.

  • Morgan Whitlock

Head of Sales & Marketing, UK & Europe

Morgan is our eye for talent, scouting young and untapped directors. Every emerging Directors dream, he’s extraordinarily generous with his time, supporting and producing their personal projects and short films and carving out opportunities in an ever-increasingly competitive market place. Morgan joined Sweetshop in 2011, helping to launch the London office and establish it as one of the best in the UK, winning multiple awards. Before joining Sweetshop, he worked for a variety of production companies, from boutique UK-centric shops to larger multinational firms. At weekends, you’ll find this lovely human coaching teenagers the art of egged shaped ball sports at his club and fundraising for local children’s charities.

  • Justin Edmund-White

Producer / Head of Production, UK & Europe

A trouble shooter to perfection, Justin uses his buttoned down skills to collaborate creatively and make sure of the best possible outcome for his directors and agencies. During his time at Sweetshop, he’s successfully produced for almost every director on the company's UK roster, for a plethora of brands, including Audi, BT, HSBC and 3 Mobile, and in a variety of locations both at home and abroad. Justin has been producing commercials for almost 20 years and in that time, he has worked in-house at some of London’s most prolific production companies, including Hungry Man and Another Film Company. Before joining Sweetshop in 2012, Justin gained invaluable client facing experience at London Advertising agency Karmarama where he both agency produced and line produced via its in-house production arm Kream.
