Spencer Dodd

Spencer Dodd

Managing Director / Executive Producer, UK & Europe

Almost certainly the calmest man in advertising, you’ll have a tough job finding anyone as trusted or as liked as our Surrey man Spence. He joined us in 2011 and wasted no time making sure Sweetshop was among the UK’s best production companies. Televisual Magazine has ranked Sweetshop in its top 20 for the last three years, while UK industry site David Reviews consistently ranks the company among its top five. Spencer cut the teeth of his 20-year career working for two of London’s heavyweight legendary creatives, Dave Trott and Geoffrey Seymour. He’s a man who made the cake from scratch and after moving into feature production he progressed from Runner to Production Assistant and Assistant Director on UK blockbusters including 'Bridgette Jones’ Diary', 'Dirty Pretty Things', 'Vera Drake' and 'East is East'. He's produced some of the UK’s biggest TV commercials, for brands including, Barclays, Hovis, HSBC, MasterCard, Lexus, Sky, Heinz, McDonald’s and Shell. Dedicated dad to two daughters, he’s quietly spoken, but don’t ever let that fool you about this effective operator.
