A successful Cannes Lions for Sweetshop this year, with a list of 10 shortlists going into the show at the beginning of the week’s judging.

Congratulations to Directors Mark Albiston, Damien Shatford, our old friend Steve Ayson who were awarded trophies for their films for Lotto New Zealand, New Zealand Police, Aldi and Speight’s (respectively). One Silver and Four Bronze metals in total.

Special mention goes to Director Youness Benali who was also shortlisted in the Young Director Awards for his ‘The Intruder’ for SANE and ‘The Composer’ films.

A tough judging panel this year building and driving stronger ideas saw Sweetshop gain a huge amount of respect and top results.

During the week we had strong representation with Laura Thoel (USA) (plus reps Lauren Schuchman and Andrew and Anya from Hustle), Spencer Dodd (UK), Morgan Whitlock (UK), Stevie Holliday (UK), Fiona King (NZ), Ben Dailey (NZ), Edward Pontifex (Australia), Loren Bradley (Australia), Kate Neill (Global) and myself all attending.
